Saylor, Day lead Devils past Black Mountain

Led by 23 points from Izack Saylor and 19 from Ryan Day, Wallins claimed a 56-35 win Friday over visiting Black Mountain in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.
Shemar Carr led Black Mountain with 17 points.
The Purple Devils edged Black Mountain 31-29 in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Mason Howard scored 10 points to lead Wallins.
Kash Gooden paced the Tigers with 14 points.

Bargo leads Trojans to victory over Black Mountain
Brenton Bargo led a balanced James A. Cawood offense with 10 points as the Trojans coasted past visiting Black Mountain 40-15 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Thursday.
Black Mountain was led by Shemar Carr with 10 points.
Easton Engle scored 16 points and Andrew Vance added 12 as James A. Cawood rolled to a 39-9 win over Black Mountain in fifth- and sixth-grade basketball action.
Evan Jones led the Tiger with seven points.
James A. Cawood won 17-0 in a fourth-grade game as Tucker Daniels, Logan Mills and Rayce Bryant scored four points each for the Trojans.

Evarts edged Wallins 22-19 in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Cayson Farley scored nine and Braxton Anglian added six for the Wildcats.
Gunner Mills paced Wallins with 10 points.

Comets hang on for overtime win over Green Hills

With Brady Smith and Ethan Huff each topping the 20-point mark, Cawood edged Green Hills 46-44 in overtime on Tuesday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball.
Smith led the visiting Comets with 25 points. Tucker Curtis added 10 for Cawood.
Huff paced the Falcons with 20 points. Dalton Halcomb added 14.
Cawood rolled to a 36-12 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Kayden Gray scored 13 for the Comets.
Billy Harrison led Green Hills with eight points.
