Harlan County teams fall in regional semifinals

Both Harlan County teams lost in the semifinals of the 13th Region Tournament on Monday.
The HCHS boys fell 10-0 to North Laurel on Monday at Corbin. The host Redounds downed Middlesboro 10-0 in the semifinals and defeated North Laurel 4-2 in the finals.
The Bears finished the season at 9-7-2, winning two straight 50th District titles.
Harlan County fell 11-0 to South Laurel in the girls regional semifinals at Knox Central. Corbin downed Knox Central 13-0 in the other semifinal, then edged South Laurel 2-1 in the regional finals.
The Lady Bears finished the season with a record of 6-11.
