Luke Kelly

With their 24-point lead cut to 10 in the fourth quarter on Friday at Perry Central, the Harlan County Black Bears were in need of a big play. Sophomore defensive back Luke Kelly was happy to oblige, and he enjoyed it so much he did it twice. Kelly returned two interceptions for touchdowns, covering 65 and 35 yards, as the Bears pulled away for a 52-36 victory as Kelly earned Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors. Kelly finished with two touchdowns while adding two catches for 30 yards as HCHS improved to 4-5 on the season and earned a spot in the 4A playoffs in the process.
