Wildcats open season with victory in Manchester
A strong defensive game and a balanced offensive attack sent Rosspoint to a 51-21 win Friday at Manchester in fifth- and sixth-grade basketball action.
Trey Creech, Blake Johnson and Hudson Faulkner each scored nine points for the Wildcats. Nathan Barger, Jax Shepherd, Carson Sanders, Jackson Mackowiak, Eli Joseph and Bentley Alred scored four each.
Rosspoint won 15-11 in fourth- and fifth-grade action. Isaac Noe led the Wildcats with 11 points. Bryson Robbins and Tyler Foster scored two each.
Adams, Grace lead Redskins to win over Arlie Boggs
Kayden Adams and Hayden Grace each scored 15 points as Cumberland opened its season Thursday with a 50-28 win at Arlie Boggs in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Neal, Cannon power Lynn Camp past Harlan
Terry Neal scored 13 and Connor Cannon added 11 as Lynn Camp edged Harlan 41-37 on Saturday in fifth- and sixth-grade basketball action.
Cooper Thomas led the Dragons with 15 points.
