Redskins sweep doubleheader against Evarts
Hayden Grace scored nine points and Bo Eldridge added eight as Cumberland handed the visiting Evarts Wildcats their first loss of the season on Monday with a 34-9 rout.
Dakota Maggard led the Wildcats with three points.
Hunter Fuson poured in 24 points and Bryce Saylor added 11 as Cumberland won 35-14 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Braxton Anglian paced Evarts with six points.

Dragons suffer hard-fought losses to Pineville, Middlesboro
Harlan sufffered a pair of three-point losses in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action, falling 40-37 to Pineville and 36-33 to Middlesboro.
Jaxson Perry scored 13 and Landon Myers added 10 to lead Harlan against Pineville. Eric Evans scored 12 in the loss to Pineville.
The Dragons lost twice in fifth- and fifth-grade action, falling 33-7 to Middlesboro and 44-17 to Pineville.
Cooper Thomas led the Dragons in both games, scoring four against Middlesboro and eight against Pineviille.

Rosspoint splits two games at Bell Showcase
Rosspoint split a pair of games Saturday in the Bell County Basketball Showcase, falling 40-30 to Corbin before rolling past Middlesboro 48-31.
The Wildcats were tied 15-15 at the half, but eventually fell to the Hounds. Trey Creech led the 5-1 Wildcats with 13 points followed by Hudson Faulkner and Nathan Barger with seven each and Bentley Alred with three.
Led by Creech with 19 points and Blake Johnson with 11 points, Rosspoint downed the Jackets in their second game. Barger scored nine, followed by Faulkner with four, Jackson Mackowiak and Bentley Alred with two each and Eli Joseph with one.
