Three wins last week pushed the Harlan County Black Bears to the brink of the state’s top 10 as they improved to 23-5. Junior guard Trent Noah topped the 20-point mark in all three games to earn Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. Noah scored 30 points as HCHS knocked off Harlan on Tuesday to clinch the 52nd District’s top seed. He added 26 points on Friday in a win over Middlesboro and 23 on Saturday in a victory at Boyd County. The Bears, ranked 11th in the state, will play host to Whitley County on Tuesday and travel to Barbourville on Thursday to close the regular season.
