Lady Cats roll into district finals with win over Middlesboro

BelL County guard Mataya Ausmus worked through the Middlesboro defense on Monday in the first round of the 52nd District Tournament.

Bell County overcame a slow start Monday in the first game of the 52nd District Tournament to coast past Middlesboro 63-22 and into the finals for the fifth straight year.
Sophomore guard Lauren McGeorge scored 17 points and junior forward Gracie Jo Wilder added 16 for the 22-9 Lady Cats.
Freshman guard Keevi Betts scored 11 for the 5-24 Lady Jackets, who suffered their 12th straight first-round exit.
