The Harlan County Lady Bears were three of three in the final week of the regular season with wins over Harlan, Leslie County and Whitley County, and junior catcher Jade Burton played a big role in Harlan County’s success as she was named the Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week. Burton had three singles and a double Tuesday as the Lady Bears closed their district schedule with a hard-fought 7-6 win over Harlan. She added two singles Friday as HCHS closed the regular season with an 11-9 victory at Whitley County.
