Through eight games, the Bell County Bobcats have yet to taste defeat.
They haven’t even played a close game yet with all eight wins of the double-digit variety following an 80-38 rout of visiting Cumberland Gap, Tenn., in the opening round of the Short-Redmond Holiday Classic.
Junior guard Cameron Hall scored 28 points to lead the Bobcats. Blake Burnett added 18, followed by Ethan Buell with 11 and Jaxon Thomas with 10,
Bell wasted no time turning the game into a rout, racing to a 41-7 lead after one quarter was Hall scored 17 and Burnett added 12. The Bobcats started a running clock in the opening seconds of the second period, and the lead grew to 59-19 at halftime.
Bell County will play Owsley County in the semifinals on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
