In a season filled with records and honors, Harlan County senior guard Trent Noah added another achievement to his impressive and growing list Friday with his selection as the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches 13th Region Boys Player of the Year.
Noah, who has averaged 30 points and 10.3 rebounds for the 26-4 Bears, is a finalist for this season’s Mr. Basketball award. He will continue his career on the next level at South Carolina. Noah set the county scoring record earlier this month as he surpassed former Harlan all-state Charles Thomas, the 1995 Mr. Basketball winner. Noah now has 3,440 points in his career as a two-time all-stater likely headed for a third selection
