Harlan claimed a pair of shutout wins Saturday over Cumberland, 6-0 in the first game and 11-0 in the second, to capture the 13th Region All “A” Classic middle school title.
Adelynn Burgan pitched a two-hitter in the first game with 13 strikeouts and two walks. She pitched a no-hitter in the nightcap with seven strikeouts.
Burgan led the Harlan offense in the first game with a triple. Taylor Glenn added a double. Daria Lee and Chrissy Saylor each added singles.
Pendleton had a triple and Bledsoe singled to lead Cumberland.
Glenn led Harlan win the second game with an inside-the-park. Homer and two singles single. Saylor and Addyson Patteron added two singles each. Lee had a double. Burgan, Harmonee Mills and Addison Campbell added singles.
