The Pineville Lady Lions split a pair of games last week, falling on the road at Lynn Camp 2-0 and winning at home over McCreary Central 6-0.
Against the Lady Cats, Pineville was limited to three hits, two by Addison Slone and one from Nadine Johnson.
Rachel Howard was the hard luck loser for the Lions, giving up two runs (one earned), on five hits while striking out 14 and walking one.
Against the Lady Raiders, Howard was dominant in the circle, throwing a complete game shutout, limiting McCreary to two hits while fanning 18 and walking one.
Slone and Johnson had doubles for the Lions. Isabella Adams, Kameran Evans, and Rayanna Maidon added hits in the win.
Pineville (5-5) returns to play Monday at home against Knox Central in a key district game. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30.

The Pineville Mountain Lions split a quartet of games this week, defeating Red Bird 10-9 and Hancock County TN 10-0 and falling to Barbourville 13-1 and Knox Central 11-1.
The Lions pounded out eight hits and stole 20 bases against the Cards to eke out the victory.
Logunn Littles had three hits to pace the Lions at the plate. Nasir Wilson and Sam Caldwell had two hits each. Deakon Partin added one hit.
Kaiden Robbins got the win on the mound, striking out three in two innings for the Lions. Littles earned the save, striking out three as well.
Against Barbourville, Pineville was limited offensively to two Littles hits.
Wyatt Caldwell suffered the loss for the Lions, giving up seven runs (three earned), striking out five and walking one. Robbins threw one frame giving up six runs (three earned), striking out two and walking six.
The Panthers also stymied the Lions offense, holding the attack to a Wyatt Caldwell RBI double.
Partin and Sam Caldwell were the Pineville hurlers, striking out two and walking eight combined.
The Lions were able to salvage the week with a strong game against the visiting Indians. Pineville pounded out seven hits led by Sam Caldwell‘s two singles. Littles, Wyatt Caldwell, Tristen Johnson, Landon Robbins, and Wilson also added hits.
Littles threw a gem on the mound, going the distance and pitching a shutout. Littles struck out eleven and walked three while scattering three hits.
Pineville (4-8) returns to action at home Monday against Jellico, Tenn., at 5:30.
