Harlan County lost its first set of the season to open Thursday’s match against visiting Leslie County, but the Lady Bears responded by sweeping the next three to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Ashton Evans, the Lady Bears’ only senior, had 15 kills and 19 digs, along with two service aces. Kalista Dunn added 20 digs, seven kills, three aces and two assists. Savannah Hill contributed 21 assists, 14 digs, two aces and two kills. Kylee Hoiska chipped in with 14 digs, eight kills, four aces, three assists and one block. Ashlynn Williamson added 11 digs and six assists. Madilynn Nolan and Sophie Day had one kill each.
The Lady Bears travel to Knox Central on Monday and then open their district schedule Tuesday at home against Harlan.
