Since falling short to Williamsburg in the 13th region All “A” semifinals, the Pineville Lady Lions have rallied to win three straight, two against district foes. A 3-0 win Monday against Barbourville secured the one seed in the 51st District Tournament for only the third time in program history.
The Lady Lions got off to a slow start against a hot Harlan team but battled back to win three straight sets to improve to 8-6 on the season.
Kamryn Biliter set the program record for assists in a match with 27. She also added six digs and three kills.
Offensively and defensively Ava Arnett led the way with 17 kills and 31 digs, snatching a program record herself. Addison Slone chipped in 13 kills while digging out 13 attacks. Kadence McQueen protected the tape well with nine solo blocks and eight kills. Brynlee Sizemore battled defensively for 24 digs. She also added five kills and four assists. Jaycee Caldwell had six digs and four kills. Makayla Terrell had eight digs and four service aces. Emma Cupp provided three service aces off the bench while Alyssa Obenshain added one. Brooke Harris had eight digs and five service aces, while Mckenna Turner had three digs. Makayla Caldwell rounded out the stat sheet with one kill and two digs.
Pineville got off to a hot start against Lynn Camp. In the second match-up between the district foes, the Mountain Lions jumped out to a 25-4 victory in the first set, cruising to a sweep in the next two sets 25-17 and 25-13, respectively.
Ava Arnett got the Mountain Lions started with nine kills and four blocks, and nine digs and scored one service ace. Kamryn Biliter dished out 20 assists while adding 11 digs. Jaycee Caldwell slammed down seven kills and six digs. Brynlee Sizemore had a complete game with three kills, a block, an assist and four each of digs and service aces. Mckenna Turner continued to be solid with four kills, three blocks, one assist and one dig. Addison Slone led the way serving with eight aces, adding 14 digs to her total as well. Brooke Harris had 11 digs and three service aces. Emma Cupp added the final service ace, and a dig.

Kamryn Biliter continued to command the floor for Pineville with a 23-assist performance, adding 20 digs. Ava Arnett and Addison Slone powered the offense at the net both scoring 11 kills each. Arnett added 20 digs, one service ace, one block, and one assist. Slone had nine digs, four service aces, one assist and one block. Brynlee Sizemore had a big night defensively digging out 27 attacks, while adding four kills to her total. Jaycee Caldwell also scored four kills and four digs. Kandence McQueen had two blocks and two kills, Brooke Harris had 13 digs and one service ace.
The Lady Lions travel to Clay County on Thursday.
