Six Black Bears reached the scoring column as Harlan County coasted to a 9-1 win Wednesday over Shelby Valley.
Bradley Brock, Ray Splawn and Luther Gross each scored two goals for the Bears. Austin Tye, Bradley Kazy and Josh Rigney added one goal each.
Travis Burkhart posted shutouts in the last three HCHS wins and didn’t give up any goals Wednesday. The Wildcats scored their goal late when Burkhart had changed positions.
The 5-3 Bears play host to Knox Central on Tuesday and Middlesboro on Thursday.
