Harlan County moved within one victory of tying a school record with a 25-14, 25-17, 25-14 win Monday at Pineville in a showdown of two of the 13th Region’s top teams.
Kylee Hoiska led the 19-5 Lady Bears with 15 kills, 11 digs and three service aces. Ashton Evans added seven kills, 18 digs and one assist. Kalista Dunn had five kills, 20 digs and two aces. Savannah Hill chipped in with 25 assists, four digs, two aces and one kill. Ashlynn Williamson added 21 digs. Madilynn Nolan had two digs, two aces and one kill. Karli Shoupe added two digs and one kill.
The Lady Bears are scheduled to play at Rye Cove, Va., on Saturday. The 16-10 Lady Lions will travel to Middlesboro on Tuesday.
