Ralph Roberts won 264 games and seven district championships at Cumberland. His 1984 team won the first of two straight 52nd District titles and went on to lose to Clay County in the regional semifinals.
I attended this game. It was amazing and kind of surreal at the same time. You did lose track of what happened after a while. Also by about the 5th overtime it almost seemed a shame for either team to lose.
