One week after a 35-point loss to Phelps in their first scrimmage at Johnson Central, the Harlan Green Dragons bounced back nicely with an 88-65 rout of visiting Buckhorn in their second and final scrimmage Saturday.
Freshman center Kobe Noe scored 25 points to lead the Green Dragons. Izack Saylor added 18 points, while Dylan Cox added 11.
Senior guard Jacob Neace led the Wildcats with 25 points. Austin Riley and Dillon Easterling added 17 and 11 points, respectively.
Noe scored eight points in the opening period as the Dragons grabbed a 26-14 lead. Saylor had seven points in the second quarter as the lead grew to 45-30 by halftime.
Noe had 11 points in the third quarter, hitting seven of seven at the line as the Dragons took a 68-52 lead into the final period. Jaxson Perry added six points in the quarter.
Cox and Noe each hit 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and scored five each as Harlan outscored Buckhorn 20-13.
The Green Dragons will open their regular season schedule Tuesday at South Laurel and then play host to Clay County on Thursday.

Freshman forwards Braxton Rowe and Eli Noe scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, as Harlan rolled to a 49-29 win in junior varsity action. Brayden Lucas scored eight, followed by Hunter Brock with six, Gibson Wilder with five, and Cruz Galloway, Caden Mefford and Dylan Collins with three each.
Stamper led Buckhorn with 11 points.
