Kentucky Fever wins Tri City Shooting Stars Tourney
Kentucky Fever, a local 12-and-under team, won the Tri City Shooting Stars Tourney over the weekend in Johnson City.
The team opened with a 17-10 win over the Lady Aces. Khloe Daniels scored five, followed by Campbell Thompson and Lilly Daniels with four each and Bella Ford and Jerrah Phillips with two each.
Thompson scored 19 and Ford added five in a 24-12 win over NBN.
Khloe Daniels tossed in seven in a 14-13 win over the Tri Star Aces. Thompson scored four, followed by Phillips with two and Ford with one.
Engle leads Trojans to victory at Cawood
Led by 10 points from Easton Engle, James A. Cawood rolled to a 38-10 win Tuesday at Cawood in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.
Brantley Burkhart scored 10 and Logan Mills added nine as JACES won 38-30 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Kaydon Gray scored 13 and Shawn Smith added 11 for the Comets.
