Thomas, Brock power Dragons to win over Middlesboro

Cooper Thomas scored 18 points and Brady Brock added 10 as Harlan celebrated 8th Grade Night with a 42-36 win Friday over Middlesboro.
Mitchell Capps, Parker Hampton and Joseph Petty each scored eight for the Jackets.
Harlan fell 38-15 in fifth- and sixth-grace action. Ryder Helton, Jayce Young and Brantley McArthur each scored three to lead the Dragons.

Barbourville eliminates Dragons in conference tournament

Harlan fell to Barbourville 30-17 in the first round of the 13th Region Class A Conference Tournament for sixth graders on Saturday.
Konner Gray paced the Tigers with 16 points.
Judah Shope led Harlan with 10 points.
