In the same game that her sister, Aymanni, made history by becoming the third girls basketball player in Harlan High School history to reach the 2,000-point plateau, Peyshaunce Wynn gave notice that she will soon have her time.
Coming off a 31-point explosion a day earlier in an overtime loss to Russell, the younger Wynn again led Harlan as she scored 20 as the Lady Dragons held on for a 53-51 win over Owen County, earning all-tournament honors in the Defender Classic at Bryan Station.
Cheyenne Rhymer and Aymanni Wynn added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the 6-6 Lady Dragons.
Junior guard Kylee Steffen led the 4-7 Lady Rebels with 22 points. Hannah Mason scored eight.
Harlan returns to action Thursday at home against Harlan County in a girls/boys doubleheader.
