One night after hitting 12 3-pointers in an upset win over Whitley County on Wednesday in the opening round of the 2A Section 7 Tournament, the Harlan County Lady Bears hit only one Thursday at Bell County as Knox Central coasted to a 61-20 win.
The win sets up a finals matchup between the Lady Panthers and Corbin. The two teams met in the WYMT Mountain Classic with Knox Central coming away with a 54-51 win.
Sophomore guard Shelbie Mills scored 21 points to lead the Lady Panthers. Mackenzie Hensley chipped in with 13 and Halle Collins added 11 points and 14 rebounds. Collins’ double-double was her 90th of her career.
Jaycee Cochran led the 4-11 Lady Bears with seven points.

Corbin’s Kylie Clem scored 18 points as the Lady Hounds advanced to the title game with a 64-38 win over McCreary Central.
Clem scored 12 points in the first quarter as the Lady Redhounds built a 21-11 edge, she added six more in the second quarter, helping Corbin (11-2) outscore the Lady Raiders 23-3 to put the game out of reach.
Izzy Walker added 12 points for Corbin while Addy Wilson chipped in 11 points.
