The Harlan Lady Dragons moved within one game of a second straight 13th Region All “A” Classic championship by taking over on the defensive end in the second half of Monday’s 68-59 semifinal victory over Jackson County at Middlesboro High School.
After giving up 41 points in the first half and falling behind by 11 points at halftime, the Lady Dragons allowed only 18 points in the second half to rally for the victory.
Four Lady Dragons reached double figures, led by senior forward Kylie Noe with 19 points. Aymanni Wynn added 15 points, while Peyshaunce Wynn scored 11 and Cheyenne Rhymer added 10.
Senior forward Abby Gilbert carried the offense for the 9-7 Lady Generals with 32 points. Senior guard Sammie Creech added 10 points.
The 9-8 Lady Dragons will play Middlesboro on Tuesday at 7 in the championship game.
