Harlan County lost a heartbreaker in the semifinals of the 13th Region seventh-grade tournament on Saturday at Knox Central as North Laurel rallied to win 46-44 before going on to defeat Knox Central in the finals.
Rylan Robbins scored 19 points and Easton George added 10 to lead the Jaguars, who finished as state runner-up earlier this month in the seventh-grade division.
Trey Creech scored 24 points to lead the 20-9 Bears. Hudson Faulkner added 13 points.
The Bears lost three starters to fouls down the stretch as North rallied for the victory after trailing by seven with four minutes left.
