The Harlan County High School cheerleaders were selected at the 13th Region runner-up in the regional cheer competition and honored at halftime of the girls championship game Saturday.

The Harlan County High School cheerleaders placed second in the Kentucky 2A State Tournament in Owensboro. Harlan County High School cheerleaders win competition
The Harlan County High School cheerleaders placed second in their division at UCA National Preliminary on Saturday to advance to the national semifinals on Monday at ESPN in Orlando, Fla. They will now compete against 16 other teams from around the nation at 12:01 p.m. Awards will be held at 1:30, and nine teams will advance to the national finals later that afternoon.

The Harlan cheerleading squad captured its third straight All “A” Classic title earlier this week in Corbin. The squad is coached by Heather Dickenson.
