Mills tosses no-hitter as Bears defeat Knox

After opening the season with an 11-7 loss to Knox Central last week, Harlan County bounced back in a big way Tuesday as Logan Mills pitched a no-hitter in the Bears’ 11-1 win at home in the rematch.
Mills struck out nine, walked one and hit one batter in the four-inning game.
Andrew Vance led the Bears at the plate with a double and single. Myles Jenkins singled twice. Jackson Mackowiak and Carter Caldwell had one single each.

Redskins collect 11 hits in victory over Harlan

Led by Brayan Perez with a double and two singles, Cumberland pounded out 11 hits in a 14-5 win Tuesday over visiting Cumberland in middle school baseball action.
Tobey Lunsford added a double and single. Brycen Saylor and Hunter Fuson each added two singles. Nathan Harrell and Dakota Smith had one single each.
Lunsford pitched three innings with two strikeouts. Robby Johnson fanned one in one inning. Byron Shepherd pitched the final inning.
Boggs led Harlan with two singles. Howard and Brock added one single each.
