Harlan raced to a 6-0 lead over the first two innings on the way to a 10-0 six-inning Tuesday over visiting Bell County in the district opener for both squads.
Ella Lisenbee and Addison Campbell led the Lady Dragons with two hits each. Ella Farley scored three runs from the leadoff spot with a triple and walk. Addison Jackson added a single.
Jordyn Smith threw a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and no walks to earn the win.
Addison Maiden had both hits for Bell County.
Adyson Scott pitched five innings, giving up nine runs (three earned) on five hits with six strikeouts and four walks. Laryssa Matthews gave up one run on one hit with one strikeout in one-third of an inning.
Bell County (1-2) travels to Harlan County on Thursday.
