Glenn powers Lady Dragons to win over Whitley

Taylor Glenn pounded out a triple and two singles to lead an 11-hit attack as Harlan defeated Whitley County 5-2 in middle school softball action.
Adelynn Lewis added two doubles. Chrissy Saylor and Harmonee Mills had two singles each. Lilly Daniels and Shaedyn Crow added one single each.
Lewis pitched a five-hitter for the win in the circle, with six strikeouts and two walks.
The Lady Dragons return to action Tuesday at Barbourville.

Caldwell pitches no-hitter as Bears roll past Shelby Valley

Carter Caldwell pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts as Harlan County rolled to a 30-0 win Friday over visiting Shelby Valley in middle school baseball action.
Logan Mills led the Bears’ offense with two doubles and a single. Andrew Vance had a double and two singles. Hunter Coker and Jackson Mackowiak added three singles each. Gabriel Helton had a double and single. Myles Jenkins singled twice. Brylee Southerland added a double. Hayden Stewart added a single.
