
Black Mountain faced off against Rosspoint, defeating the Wildcats 10-2 in action on April 1. Vanessa Griffith opened the scoring frenzy of Black Mountain at the 20:21 mark. Rylee Wynn answered that point at 17:42 on the clock, when Rosspoint was awarded with a penalty kick. Black Mountain continued its push with Anessa Carroll finding the goal with 16:10 left to play. Griffith followed up for the next three goals, scoring at 12:28, 9:32, and 4:11 on the clock. Gracie Youngs took the last goal of the half with 2:58 remaining, putting Black Mountain up 6-1. To begin the half, Griffith found the back of the net in the first minute of play. Carroll followed up within the next minute. Rosspoint found some life again at 24:19 as Jacob Brock drove in for a nice goal. Griffith closed out the game in the next six minutes, scoring two more goals for Black Mountain and enacting the mercy rule.
Wallins rolled past Cumberland 8-0 in middle school action. Jordan Miller opened up Wallins scoring within the first two minutes of the game. At 23:16, Mason Howard scored for Wallins. Both teams battled for possession for the next 13 minutes, until Howard found the goal again with 10:26 left to play in the half. Howard followed up for another goal at the 5:45 mark. Leslie Pitts found his opportunity in the last couple of minutes in the half to score, ending the scoring for the half and score set at 5-0 for Wallins. Howard was the only Purple Devil to score in the second half, at 26:46, 21:18, and 1:56. The final goal ended the game by way of mercy

The Evarts Elementary School soccer team defeated Wallins by a score of 3-2 in action on April 3. WES opened the scoring for this highly competitive game with a goal by Bella Saylor at the 19:01 mark, 0-1 Wallins. Addalyn Shackleford put EES on the board with 11:52 left to play in the first half. Strong defensive efforts on both ends of the field would end the half at 1-1. In the second half, EES rallied to put Sadie Clark in position for a goal. Jace Cole for EES knocked in a shot to put his team up 3-1 with 5:22 left to play. WES did not sit back, but punched in another shot by Jase Sargent with 2:08 to play. Despite the hustle, the score remained unchanged and the final score was 3-2.
Evarts and Wallins middle school teams faced off for the next match, with Wallins defeating Evarts 7-1. After 10 minutes of play in the first half, Mason Howard found his first goal of the night. Bryson Robbins followed up a couple of minutes later with 17:14 left to play . Howard earned his second goal with 14:15 remaining. Evarts was awarded a penalty kick after some rough defensive efforts in the box. Jace Hensley took the penalty kick and put Evarts on the board. Robbins followed up for his second goal with exactly six minutes on the clock. Entering the second half, Brooklyn Haywood was pulled from goal keeper duties and scored within the first three minutes to put Wallins up 5-1. Howard earned his hat trick with 14:40 remaining in regulation. Robbins took charge with 8:52 to earn his hat trick and the last goal for the evening.
Cumberland’s energetic team enacted the mercy rule against Rosspoint, defeating the Wildcats 8-0. The star of the night, Zack Smith earned six of the eight goals for Cumberland. Smith opened the scoring run at the 23:56 mark. Jocelyn Roman scored her first goal of the season with 4:14 left to play in the first half. With 1:19 remaining, Smith scored his second goal of the night. With 0.6 seconds remaining, Smith scored a third time, 4-0 Cumberland at the end of the half. The second half was more competitive, but Smith found the goal again with 16:02 remaining. Smith and team quickly pressed again and scored with 15:17 remaining. Smith scored his sixth goal with 11:51 remaining. Jake Cornett ended the game for Cumberland with 8:56 remaining by way of mercy.
