A four-run third inning was enough for Harlan sophomore left-hander Luke Luttrell in a 5-3 win Tuesday at Bell County to complete a two-game district sweep.
Luttrell scattered seven hits while striking out seven and walking one in a complete-game effort.
Five Dragons recorded one hit each, led by Baylor Varner with a double. Brody Owens, Eli Freyer, Jared Moore and Jaxson Perry added one single each.

Brock gave up four runs (one earned) on two hits with three strikeouts and two walks in 2 2/3 innings. Brigmon allowed one run on three hits with eight strikeouts and one walk over 4 1/3 innings.
Luttrell started the third inning with a walk, then Matt Nunez was hit by a pitch before both moved up on Chris Rouse’s bunt. An error on a grounder by Varner brought in the first Harlan run. Owens followed with an RBI single. An error a ground ball hit by Moore put Harlan on top, then Eli Freyer scored on a double steal.
Bell took an early 2-0 lead as Brigmon and Creech each had RBI singles.
Freyer and Moore had hits in the fifth inning before Perry’s RBI ground out.
A two-out RBI single by Brock in the seventh inning closed the scoring.
