Lady Bears win two of three at Corbin
Harlan County won two of three middle school softball games Saturday at Corbin, defeating the host Lady Hounds 12-6 and Lynn Camp 19-0 before falling 14-6 to Rockcastle County.
Bella Ford led the Lady Bears against Corbin with a triple and two singles for two RBI. Jaylin Robinson doubled twice. Maddy Fields and Addy Estes each had a double and single. Bella Minaird drove in two runs with two singles. Raegan Landa and Khloe Daniels each added a doubles with Daniels driving in two runs.
Fields pitched four innings with six strikeouts and six walks. Daniels struck out two and walked one in two innings.
Daniels struck out seven and walked none in the shutout of Lynn Camp.
Avery Jenkins pounded out four hits with a triple, single and two doubles. Daniels had a double and single. Ford and Chloe Brock singled twice each. Gracie Estes singled twice with two RBI. Campbell Thompson, Kennedy Estes and Aniston Burton added one single each. Sadie Huckleby had an RBI.
