Black Mountain shut out Rosspoint to start the night, winning 5-0. Joseph Cottrell paced Black Mountain, earning a hat trick for the evening. Cottrell’s first goal came at 22:13 in the first half. Cottrell quickly followed up at 21:11 remaining on the clock for his second goal of the evening. Vanessa Griffith contributed to Black Mountain’s score with 7:02 remaining in the first half.
In the second half, Cottrell scored his final goal for the evening with 27:30 remaining. Jaiden Turner scored the final goal of the game with 1:49 remaining.
James A. Cawood and Evarts elementary teams battled it out to a 0-0 draw. With Evarts controlling the ball most of the game, JACES defense stepped up to keep them from finding the net.
Evarts defeated James A. Cawood 2-0 in middle school action. At the 23:00 minute mark in the first half, Jace Hensley scored on a penalty kick to put Evarts on the board. Evarts maintained possession of the ball most of the game but did not manage to score again in the first half. At the 23:00 minute mark exactly again, Jesse Pendergrass kicked the ball into the goal to add on to Evarts’ lead.

Evarts and Rosspoint took to the pitch Thursday evening with Evarts enacting mercy rule over Rosspoint in the second half, winning 8-0. Jace Hensley started the scoring easily putting the ball into the goal within the first minute of play. Hensley followed up for a second goal at the 23:18 mark. Logan Price would add to the Evarts lead with a quick shot at the 19:59 mark in the first half. Jesse Pendergrass scored for the Wildcats with 12:02 remaining in the first half. Gunner Day played up in the striker position this game, typically on defense, to score his first goal with 9:49 remaining. Evarts ended the first half 5-0 against Rosspoint. A competitive start to the second half left the score unchanged until Price earned his second goal with 12:40 left in regulation. Pendergrass also earned his second goal soon after with 12:02 remaining. Hensley put the ball into the goal to earn a hat trick for the evening with 5:32 remaking, ended the game by way of mercy.
The Wallins’ Purple Devils took on the Cumberland Redskins for the final game of the regular season, winning 9-0. Bryson Robbins began the scoring onslaught for the Devils within the first couple minutes of the game. Mason Howard scored his first goal of the evening at 24:05 on the clock. Jaden Sargent, who had been out a lot of the season due to injury, came into this game in peak form, scoring his first goal at the 18:39 mark. Howard earned his next two goals at 17:59 and 17:09 respectively. Sargent would earn his hat trick on the evening by scoring the next two goals for the Devils, at 16:23 and 8:51 respectively. Howard picked up his fourth goal with 7:02 remaining in the first half. That goal put the Devils up 8-0 but the whole first half must be played before the mercy rule takes effect. The continue in play offered Robbins the opportunity to score his second goal for the evening, scoring with 3:25 remaining in the first half. The clock ran out for the first half, ending the game by way of mercy.
