
Harlan County avenged two earlier losses against with an 8-7 victory Wednesday over Harlan in the finals of the Kentucky Middle School Fast Pitch Conference finals.
Maddy Fields scattered 12 hits with four strikeouts and three walks to earn the win in the circle.
Belle Ford led the HC offense with a triple and double. Raegan Landa had an inside-the-park homer. Bella Miniard and Addi Estes added doubles. Aniston Burton had a single.
Taylor Glenn, Lilly Daniels, Jerrah Phillips and Chrissy Saylor led Harlan with two singles each. Addyson Patton added a double. Addy Lewis, Daria Lee and Harmonee Mills singled once each.
Lewis gave up six hits while striking out seven and walking seven.
Harlan County rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to defeat Cumberland 11-5 in the semifinals.
