Harlan County’s offensive woes continued heading into the final week of the regular season with a 2-0 loss Thursday at home against Jackson County and a 10-2 defeat Saturday at Shelby Valley.
Kylie Moore’s two-run single brought in both Jackson County runs against Harlan County’s Alexis Adams, who allowed only two hits and no earned runs while striking out nine and walking two.
Aviya Halcomb doubled for the only HCHS hit.
Jackson County ace Candice Williams tossed a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts and no walks for the 15-13 Lady Generals.
Junior first baseman Halanah Shepherd had both Harlan County hits in a loss at Shelby Valley with a homer and single.
Adams gave up 10 runs (seven earned) on 12 hits with seven strikeouts and three walks/
The 9-14 Lady Bears play at Hazard on Tuesday.
