Three pitchers teamed on a shutout as the Harlan All-Stars moved into the finals of the District 4 Tournament (east division, ages 11-12) with a 6-0 win Saturday over Tri-City at Barbourville.
Maddox Landa struck out six in three innings on the mound. Seth Johnson fanned five in two innings and allowed two hits. Weston Nolan struck out two as he pitched the final inning.
Kolbi Green led the Harlan offense with a double and two singles for one RBI. Landa and Grant Caldwell each singled twice. Johnson had a two-run single. Lakin Smith, Bryson Millis, Brylee Southerland, Deacon Lisenbee and Maddox Helton singled once each.
Harlan will play Knox County on Monday at 2 in the east division finals. Knox advanced with a 2-0 win over Hazard/Perry.
