
Lady Cats defeat Black Mountain in season-opening game
Bailey Haynes scored eight points and Bryleigh Bush added seven as Evarts opened the season with a 32-1 rout of visiting Black Mountain in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Tuesday.
Evarts won 37-9 in the fifth- and sixth-grade game led by by eight points each from Anna Kayte Clark and Bailey Haynes.
The Lady Cats won 16-2 in a fourth-game game.

Embrey Engle scored 11 and Khloe Daniels added nine as JACES won 24-1 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
