Led by Samuel Collins’ one-over par 36, Barbourville placed first in a Pine Mountain Golf Conference tournament at Cumberland with a team score of 161.
Harlan County took second as a team with a 175 as Cole Cornett and Carson Clark tied for second with Harlan’s Baylor Varner and Barbourville’s Colton Poindexter with a 39. Mason Garrett was next for HCHS with a 46, followed by Sebastian Mosley with a 51 and Jonah Estep with a 59.
Grant Shelton was next for Harlan with a 42, followed by Caiden Jackson with a 48, Carson Osborne with a 51 and Eli Freyer with a 52.
Harlan was third in the team standings with a 180, followed by Corbin with a 186, Bell County with a 187 and Knox Central with a 211.
Ty Mays and Landon Power each shot a 46 to lead Bell County. Mason Sziksai came in with a 47, followed by Alex Creech with a 48 and Ayden Smith a 52.
Isaac Harris shot a 51 for Middlesboro. Emmitt Butler came in with a 64.
Harlan County returns to action Thursday at the Wasioto Winds course in Pineviile for the 2A Section 7 Tournament. Harlan takeson Pineville on Thursday at the Harlan Country Club and will participate in the regional All “A” Classic on Aug. 25.
