
With a 22-18 win last week at Williamsburg and an 8-0 win Thursday at home against Leslie County, the Harlan fifth- and sixth-grade team has shown they can win in pressure situations only two games into the season.
Kolbi Green threw to Bryson Millis for the only touchdown in the win over Leslie County as the Dragons’ defense posted a shutout, helped in large part by three interceptions from Judah Shope.
Green ran for two touchdowns and 109 yards in the win over Williamsburg. He had a 10-yard TD run and two-point conversion in the first quarter and a 60-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter followed by a two-point conversion from Rush Luttrell.
Luttrell ran for 74 yards, including a 23-yard TD run in the third quarter.
Shope had 25 yards receiving, while Millis had 20 yards receiving and Waylon Taylor added 10 yards receiving.
The Harlan seventh- and eighth-grade team fell 38-0 to Williamsburg and 42-8 to Leslie County. No statistics were available.
