Featuring an effective mixture of the run and pass, the Harlan County seventh- and eighth-grade team improved its record to 3-0 with a 33-6 win Thursday over visiting Lee, Va.
Quarterback Trey Creech completed six of seven passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Hudson Faulkner ran for 53 yards on three carries, and Caysen Farley added 27 yards on two carries.
Farley capped a long drive in the opening quarter with a 16-yard TD run. Jacob Brock hit his third extra point of the season for a 7-0 lead.
Creech found Faulkner for a 65-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Faulkner followed with a 34-yard TD run, then Farley caught the two-point conversion pass from Creech. Creech teamed with Farley for a 28-yard touchdown late in the half for a 27-0 lead.
Brayan Perez caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Creech in the third quarter.
Lee scored on a 42-yard touchdown run from Michael Moore in the fourth period.
Leland Cope and Brantley Burkhart led the Bears in tackles.
Arthur Harrison added 19 yards rushing on one carry. Perez and Billy Harrison each had one yard rushing.
Faulkner and Farley each had two catches with Faulkner totaling 77 yards and Farley adding 40. Perez had 31 yards receiving, while Logan Mills added two yards on one catch.
Harlan County returns to action Thursday at Lynn Camp.
