Harlan County seventh grader Mason Garrett won a tournament Monday at the Harlan Country Club as he shot a 44, two strokes ahead of Harlan’s Elliot Lane and Pineville’s Tucker Brock and Branden Welch. Harlan’s Izaiah Lefevers was fifth with a 47.
Nate Thomas was next for Harlan with a 48, followed by Connor Thomas and T.L. Miller with 55.
Keegan Caudill was next for Harlan County with a 49, followed by Ben Crane with a 56.
Kenton Burnett was next for Pineville with a 54, followed by Jack Gains with a 55 and Jase Knuckles with a 61.
Harlan freshman Daria Lee was first in the girls varsity tournament with a 49, two strokes ahead of Harlan County’s Hallie Hensley. Annie Burton, also of HCHS, was third with a 57. Monica Whitehead led Pineville with a 58, while teammate Addison Arnett shot a 68. Harlan’s Vivian Smith finished with a 72.
