Harlan County’s Hailie Hensley and Annie Burton finished with the top scores Wednesday in a tournament at the Wasioto Winds course against Bell County.
Hensley, a senior, finished with a 54 to defeat Burton, a seventh grader, by five strokes. Bell County’s Brylee Redmond and Karisyn Pratt each shot a 60.

Harlan County’s Hailee Hensley shot a 43 to win a tournament Tuesday at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club. Harlan’s Daria Lee was six strokes behind with a 49. Annie Burton, of Harlan County, was next with a 56. Harlan’s Vivian Smith.shot a 58. Pineville’s Monica Whitehead also shot a 58, two strokes ahead of teammate Addison Arnett.
Harlan County seventh grader Mason Garrett had the best scores on the boys side with a 41. Julian Simpson was five strokes behind with a 46. Keegan Caudill was next with a 49. Ben Crain and Nate Harrell each shot a 53.
