
A Bell County offense that has produced 200 points through five games, rolled up over 400 yards of offense on Friday and improved to 5-0 with a 40-6 win at Whitley County.
Senior tailback Kaleb Miller continued to cement his position as one of the state’s top running back as he gained 121 yards on eight carries with three touchdowns. Senior quarterback Blake Burnrett added a 69-yard touchdown run on his only carry. Gary Sturgill chipped in with 53 yards on five carries, and Nathaniel Saylor contributed 51 yards on four carries.
Joseph Brigmon, Cayden Huff and Logan Greene each had one catch as Burnett completed three of five passes for 34 yards and one touchdown.
Josh Owens and Hunter Fuson recorded nine tackles each to lead the Bell defense. Landen Collins added six tackles. Miller, Jaxson Pratt and Ryan Goins have five each.
The Bobcats open their district schedule Friday at McCreary Central.
