Evarts, Cawood and James A. Cawood advanced to the semifinals of the county seventh- and eighth-grade tournamentt with victories Saturday at James A. Cawood Elementary School.
Riley Griffith led Evarts with 14 points in a 24-22 win over Wallins.
Mahalah Hall scored nine and Aubree Fought added eight for Wallins.
Addy Cochran led Cawood to a 29-12 win over Cumberland with 11 points.
Anistyn Lewis paced Cumberland with six points.
Natalie Moores tossed in 12 as JACES rolled past Black Mountain 44-8.
Bailey Burkhart scored all eight points for Black Mountain.
Evarts will play top-seeded Rosspoint on Tuesday at 5:30 in the semifinals. Cawood will play James A. Cawood at 6:30/

Harlan closed its fifth- and sixth-grade basketball season with a 49-6 win Thursday at Corbin.
Kelsey Myers led the Lady Dragons with 17 points. Lilly Daniels added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals as part of a triple-double.
