Wallins' Whitley Teague was tied up by Evarts's Tori Robinson and Ashley Preston in middle school basketball action Saturday.

Hannah Kirby scored 13 points and Ashley Preston added 12 as Evarts won a hard-fought 38-33 decision against Wallins in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball Saturday at Harlan County High School.
Savannah Hill and Whitney Noe each scored 10 to lead Wallins.
Cheyenne Rhymer and Maddie Middleton led Cawood to a 41-18 win over Cumberland with 17 and 16 points, respectively.
D’Anna Cook paced Cumberland with 13 points.
Wallins and Cawood were winners in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Reagan Landa scored 12 and Kendall Brock added nine in the Lady Devils’ 24-17 win over Evarts.
Katie Smith led Cawood to a 29-24 win over Cumberland with a 12-point effort.
Breanna Smith poured in 18 for the Lady Skins.
