Sheppard, Davis lead coaches all-region squad
HC’s Noah, Harlan’s Akal are first-team selections

North Laurel sophomore guard Reed Sheppard and South Laurel coach Jeff Davis earned the top honors on the annual 13th Region Boys Basketball Coaches Association All-Region Team.
Sheppard was named player of the year as he averaged 30.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for the 25-3 Jaguars, who won the 49th District Tournament title and finished second to Knox Central in the regional tournament.
Davis led South Laurel to an 18-6 record and a 50th District Tournament title.
