Cornett Jr. a winner while Cornett Sr. honored during Sleepy Hollow tourney

It was a great weekend to be a Cornett at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club Invitational in Cumberland.
Pete Cornett Jr. was the winner of the annual tournament on Sunday at the club’s course. Pete Cornett Sr. was recognized as a “Sleepy Hollow Fellow” during the annual dinner on Saturday.

A cornhole tournament was held Friday at the Sleepy Hollow course with 29 teams competing.
The double elimination tournament was a kick off to the annual invitational tournament held Saturday and Sunday. The first-place title of the cornhole tournament went to the local team of Lena Foutch and Nick Kidd. Nathan Halcomb organized the tournament.
