Dodgers edge Yankees 4-2 to capture Tri-City Little League crown

The Benham Lodge Dodgers completed a perfect season in the Tri-City Little League with a hard-fought 4-2 win over the Inmet Mining ankees on June 11 in the league championship game. With a 4-2 win over the Inmet Mining Yankees in the championship game, the Benham Lodge Dodgers completed a perfect season in the Tri-City Little League.
Carson Clark gave up only hit over five innings with 10 strikeouts to earn the win. Byron Shepherd struck out three in a perfect sixth inning to secure the save.
Shepherd also led the Dodgers at the plate with a double and single for two RBI. Tobey Lunsford drove in the other two runs with an inside-the-park homer. Clark had a double. Nathan Harrell added a single.
Hayden Grace pitched well in defeat for the Yankees as he tossed a five-hitter with seven strikeouts.
Brayden Howard led the Yankees’ offense with an RBI triple.
