Harlan senior tailback Jayden Ward made his final game at Joe Gilley Field one for the ages as he ran for 216 yards on 33 carries as the Green Dragons claimed a surprisingly easy 42-7 win over Sayre on Friday in the opening round of the Class A playoffs. Ward topped the 100-yard mark for the third straight game and surpassed 200 yards for the second time in three games to earn Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
