Middle school season opens with panorama at HCHS

The Harlan County middle school basketball season tipped off Friday with four scrimmages in the Black Bears Preseason Panorama at Harlan County High School.
Brady Smith scored 17 points as Cawood downed Black Mountain 38-25 in the opening scrimmage.
Shemar Carr led Black Mountain with 11 points.
Tanner Daniels poured in 14 points as Wallins downed Green Hills 36-18.
Ethan Huff paced Green Hills with 12 points.
Kaden Jones scored 18 and Brenton Bargo added 10 as James A. Cawood downed Evarts 36-23.
Brady Freeman led Evarts with nine points.
Gunner Johnson led Rosspoint to a 51-18 win over Cumberland as he scored 17 points. Hayston Hensley added 13 points.
Hayden Grace and Kayden Adams led Cumberland with six points each.
All eight county fifth- and sixth-grade teams will be in action Monday at HCHS.
