Lady Dragons open district slate with blowout win at Middlesboro

Harlan senior forward Peighton Jones guarded Middlesboro’s Keevi Betts in the Lady Dragons’ 68-31 win Friday.

Harlan opened its district schedule in impressive fashion Friday at Middlesboro, rolling to a 68-31 victory over the Lady Jackets.
Aymanni Wynn scored 28 points and Emma Owens added 21 to lead the 2-3 Lady Dragons, who led 23-9 after one quarter and 41-20 by halftime.
Keevi Betts carried the offense for the 0-5 Lady Jackets with 18 points.
Harlan will compete in the Jim Lankster Classic next week at Lexington Sayre and will take on Estill County at 3 p.m. on Dec. 20, Sayre at 1 p.m. on Dec. 21 and Garrard County at 1 on Dec. 22. Middlesboro will play at Lynn Camp on Monday.
